How topics and products are chosen
The Refrigerant Recovery Pro Editorial Team looks at three things.
- Reader usefulness: will this help someone choose or understand a tool?
- Search demand: are people asking about it?
- Availability: can a reader actually buy it today?
The subject area is HVAC tools, mainly refrigerant recovery machines, vacuum pumps, manifold gauges and leak detectors.
How we research
Our sources are manufacturer specifications, public product information and aggregated buyer feedback. There is no lab testing and no hands-on testing behind our pages. A guide tells you what is published and what owners report. It does not describe how we found a tool to perform.
Drafting and review
Drafts are written with AI writing tools. That is a normal part of our workflow. Before a page goes live, our editorial team reviews it. Reviewers look for:
- Claims that do not match the sources
- Specifications that are stated without a clear origin
- Wording that sounds more certain than the evidence allows
- Anything that reads like a promise rather than information
What a good page looks like
Every page should help a reader make a decision or understand a term. To get there, we follow a few habits.
- State specifications as the manufacturer gives them and name the source type.
- Separate what the maker claims from what buyers report.
- Prefer the manufacturer’s own documents when sources disagree.
- Leave a point out when we cannot support it.
We also avoid wording that suggests first-hand use. If a detail comes from buyer feedback, the page says that owners report it, so you know where it came from.
Commissions and recommendations
The site earns affiliate commissions through Amazon links, as set out in the Affiliate Disclosure. Commissions never decide what we recommend. Whether a product is included depends on the research, and a link that pays nothing gets the same treatment as one that does. More on the business side is on the How We Make Money page.
Review and updates
Tools are revised and replaced, so pages are revisited over time. Common reasons for a fresh look include a new model from a manufacturer, a corrected specification and a report from a reader. We do not promise that every page follows a fixed update schedule, so treat the information as a starting point and confirm key details with the manufacturer.
